The story behind the RAULI brackets begins on the roof of a small Finnish home from the distress of a solar panel installer. It was a time when there were no good products on the market for the efficient installation of solar panels. Several years of development work began with primary purpose to produce functional products for solar panel installers. In addition to durability and usability, the aim was to make the products stylish; the solar system is undoubtedly an aesthetic entity that impacts the building’s appearance.
Two pioneers in their industry were responsible for the development work. Suomen Aurinkotekniikka Oy is a solar panel industry operator that annually installs thousands of solar panel systems for small residential buildings. Vesivek Oy is an over-40-year-old operator, a Nordic market leader in roof renovations and producing roof safety products. The RAULI products are manufactured at Vesivek’s factory in Orimattila and tested in an in-house product development laboratory. The material we use is Nordic SSAB high-strength steel. Our products have a 30-year warranty.
Upon completing the RAULI products, the innovative product attracted much interest, and the installation system, designed by solar panel installation technicians, was eagerly welcomed at industry events. The RAULI products currently have a satisfied customer base all around Europe. Due to the installation speed, RAULI is loved among technicians, but our entirely black mounting systems are at least equally admired by satisfied end customers. RAULI has been issued a European product certificate (EMI, Hungary) and the innovative features are protected with several patents.
In 2023, we introduced the RAULI APP, which facilitates a solar panel system's design and component calculations. Based on the installation site’s coordinates, we are aware of the wind and snow loads, on which basis we calculate a robust mounting method that meets local standards.
Product development is ongoing, and the product range will expand to cover all solar panel installation options.
